How to check political party registration status: step by step
How to track the status of a political party registration application filed with the Election Commission of India.
Step 1. Locate your filing reference number
Find the reference or acknowledgement number issued when Form PPR-1 was submitted; it appears on the acknowledgement and confirmation email.
Step 2. Open the ECI status page
Open the Election Commission's party registration status page and select the application-status option.
Step 3. Enter the reference number and verify
Enter the reference number with the registered mobile number or email and complete the verification step.
Step 4. Read the current stage
Note the stage shown — scrutiny, query raised, public notice, hearing or order issued — and the date it was updated.
Step 5. Respond to any pending query
If a query or deficiency is shown, file the response with supporting documents before the stated deadline to avoid rejection.
