Section 29A political party registration procedure
Every new political party in India is registered under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The process begins with a founders' resolution, the drafting of a party constitution compliant with the Election Commission's model guidelines, and the enrolment of at least one hundred members who are registered voters. The application is filed on Form PPR-1 along with the demand draft of ₹10,000 towards the processing fee.
